Post 3: My Favorite Movie

Imagen
One of the most memorable movies I have ever seen is "Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)" commonly known just as Birdman. It's a movie about an actor called Riggan Thomson, interpreted by Michael Keaton, from Hollywood who had a career in superhero movies, but now he tries to make himself a place in the Broadway theaters although he is constantly persecuted by his younger self incarnated in Birdman, his old glorius character from the movies he did. While Riggan struggles to make a play without any support from the critics and no much money, he runs across many problems and conflicts with his family, his cast, his identity, and his mental health. Nonetheless his producer manages to get a famous figure from the theater world who will bring the audience to his production Mike Shiner, interpreted by Edward Norton. But dealing with this capricious actor would no be so easy for Riggan. My favorite part is one where Riggan meets Mike and they start to act

Post 2: The Best Concert Ever

Imagen
The most memorable concert I´ve ever seen was Red Hot Chilli Peppers at Estadio Monumental in 2011. I was 13 years old at that time and I went to the concert with my older brother Victor. In that chance the band had two other music groups that opened the show: Chancho en Piedra, and Foals. The first one is a Chilean band that plays funk-rock music, the second one is from England and they play a more indie-rock style.  It was funny though because Foals wasn´t the exactly same style of Chancho en Piedra and Red Hot Chilli Peppers, however they were just in the middle of the show, so when they started to play the entire crowd began to boo at them and ask for the Red Hot Chilli Peppers to come on the stage. Later on, when the main band finally started to play, it was craziness; all people were jumping and pushing each other while the music was playing and I even got very close to the stage taking pictures of the bass guitar player Flea, who is my favorite one because I play the

Post 1: A country I would like to visit

Imagen
Hi comrades, today I´m gonna tell you about the most wonderful place in the world I would like to visit. I´m speaking of course of the Democratic People´s Republic of Korea. mostly known as North Korea, (or as I like to call it: The True Korea). The DPRK has a official tourist agency with this website  https://www.visitthedprk.org/ which offers vacations and study programs.  I would like to visit North Korea because it is the birth place of the Juche (the North Korean socialist ideology) and also an example of progress and economic welfare despite the economic blockades and the bad image that mainstream media tries to deliver to the public. The DPRK is governed by our dear democratically elected leader Kim Jong-Un, grandson of Kim Il-Sun, the first one to rule de republic and to bring peace fighting the imperialist forces at the Koran War. The capital of the DPRK is Pyongyang, located at the Taedong river and has a population above three million people. I would like to

Welcome

Hi everybody! My name is Joshua and I´m on my 3rd year of anthropology with major in archeology and this is my blog. Since I was little I was close to the English language because of my dad -who always teaches me-, the videogames and movies. So I consider myself to have some strengths in listening and reading, although I have to admit, I got some weaknesses when it comes to speak -specially to prounounce- and to make sentences. I would like to improve my gramar in order to have a better chance to comunicate with English native speakers. That´s very important for me because my oldest brother married an American girl this year in New York, so now I have family living there and I always enjoy traveling to visit them.
